An Amazing Treasure Trove.

That is a massive list of documents - about 1.3 GB. There is much potential there. Thanks.

As I worke through this Treasure I discover There are two different Translations auf the Philipp Schaff Church Fathers
1. The Books - these are the same as in Logos (don't miss the Church History Books from Schaff)
2. There are Files named xxxx [Schaff]. These seem to be a different Translation, see here

Fascinating - thanks for pointing this out.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Has anyone else had difficulty downloading this file? I have tried three times and each time when it was done it was not a correctly zipped file. It also took a long time (over an hour),which is not unheard of, but surprising for a file of that size.
Anybody else share my problems and find a solution?

I had no problems, sorry.

I had some trouble, which is not too surprising given my internet situation. I resorted to a download manager which did the job well.

I hope this will work
Here is Philipp Schaff Church History and the Churchfathers. The Single Files are a different Translation of the Books. And yes it's the same you have in the Big download above. I split it up for those of you who have small Internet.

Here is a "clean" Download. I have sorted out everything what is double and everything what is allready in the Logos Church Father Collection and in Perseus. So what you have here should be new to your Libary. In the Big Download are still a few things what is not here. But there is still much for you. (Or you can try the Big and have it all)
German 128
Greek 721 (mostly the Churchfathers)Latin 1615
English 1251

Sascha, thank you for all of your work to get all this great information to those of us interested.
As to why did they leave Jesus out. I believe that the version that does not have Jesus' name as such shown is the Syriac version of Ignatius Epistle to the Romans. Why that version does not have Jesus' name I am not sure. Will dig deeper. But this may help you on your quest for an answer.
Blessings, Thom
