Home Screen / Reading Plan Questions

I want to open Logos 6 by default to the home screen each time I open it. That seems easy enough to do. However, when I finish catching up of my Home Page reading, when I click on the Home Button again to start my sermon preparation, I am presented with a blank page and have to manually select a Layout to use.
Is it possible to configure Logos 6 so as to open by default to the Home Page (allowing me to see the latest items), then upon completion and clicking the Home Button again, taking me to my, say, Sermon Prep Layout or perhaps my last active Layout without manual intervention?
Also, one of the things I do from the Home Page is do my daily devotional reading from several custom reading plans I have set up. Is it possible to have these open in a floating window instead of opening them in my last saved Layout ? On several occasions now I have forgotten to close the resource when I am done and accidently saved it upon updating my current layout.

You can configure Logos to open to the Home Page (this is in Program Settings) but not so that pressing the Home Button will take you to a layout. You can, however, "drag" the name of a saved layout (in the Layouts menu) to the toolbar. Clicking on that from the Home Screen will take you to that layout.

You can't do this but in the beta release of 6.9 there is a new feature for Logos Now subscribers:
Custom Home Page Layouts
Added the ability to replace the default layouts that open when opening links from the Home Page, such as from the “Go” box or opening links to a lectionary or reading plan.
To save a custom layout, create the layout (from the defaults or from scratch), click the Layouts button, hover the mouse over the type of layout you are customizing, click the downward arrow and select “Replace with current layout”. From this menu you can also restore the default layouts.
Custom layouts can be saved for:- Go to Bible Reading – Bible passages from a Reading Plan
- Go to Passage – entering a passage in the “Go” box
- Go to Search – when running a search from the “Go” box
- Go to Topic – when entering a query in the “Go” box and selecting an item from the dropdown
- Go to Lectionary Reading – Bible passages from a lectionary
This could go some way towards what you are requesting but I don't think it will give you all the functionality you want. And note this will only be available to those with a Logos Now subscription.
