Beta performance issues with collections

I've mentioned this before, but it's becoming an increasing problem with parallel resources, and it's speed. It often takes several seconds to display parallel resources, and looking at the logs, it seems a large part of this time is spend creating the dynamic collections. The results aren't cached, and because you can have nested collections, some of my collections are being re-generated eight times every time I click on parallel resources. It takes somewhere between 0.14 and 0.16s to create this collection. If this result was cached just for the operation, I'd be saving over a second. And if it could be cached longer term, I'd save several seconds at many crucial points.

My 1 core P4 machine is so (naturally) slow that I can count the many, many circles of the "spinning wheel."
[But I do at least like having the wheel].
