Hi.. I purchased Knowing God (audio). Can I access and listen to this within Logos?
If you purchased the Logos edition, you should be able to listen within the Logos desktop, however, if you purchased from another source, it will not be in Logos format, thus not accessible on the Logos desktop or library.
As Erwin suggested, yes... if you are saying that you purchased it through Faithlife. You can't import audiobooks from other sources.
Assuming that you did purchase from FL, are you asking because you are having troubles with it? If so, we can try to help. Please provide more info. This thread may be moved to either the L6 or mobile forums, depending upon your needs.
Yes. You can listen to any audiobook you purchase from us in our desktop software or on our mobile apps. We don't yet have support for them on our web apps, but that will come in the near future.
What is the advantage of having an audio book in Logos rather than as a separate download from somewhere else (such as mp3 files)?
I'm not sure if it's an advantage having it directly in Logos, as you're pretty much stuck to their desktop or mobile app. I just ordered one to give it a try, but I think mp3 gives you more freedom. My only take away at least in the book by Andy Stanley that I ordered is that it did not include the digital text to follow along where as others do, from what I've seen in the prepub page. I think it's very important to have the digital text to ensure that you actually have everything that's being read to you. We'll see how it goes with my trial. So, no, no real advantage in my opinion

Thanks everyone.. Yes I purchased it from Logos as a Pre Pub. I received the email that it was ready but I have not seen it yet within my Logos. Other resources were D/L last night. Will try again when I get home today.
In most cases we will sync the audiobook with the text resource (if we have the same edition), which (1) enables you to follow along with the text while you listen and (2) allows for location syncing across formats (i.e., text vs. audio). For example, you might be listening to Tozer's Attributes of God in your car on the way to work. Later you may decide that you'd like to pick up where you left off in the digital text on your desktop computer or tablet. Because we align the audio to the text, this will happen automatically.
