Behringer X32 Proclaim users

Our spa ish congregation shares a building with an English speaking congregation. The English congregation uses a Behringer X32. I need help figuring out how to connect the X32 to our laptop for live recording functions in proclaim. What is the best way to do this?

I have used one of these but not much.. I think the easiest way would be do use the RCA Aux output on the back of the x32 (highlighted in red):
You could use an RCA->3.5mm cable to go from the Aux on the board to the line-in on your computer.
Another way might be to use the USB port. On a different board, when I plugged in via USB, my Mac (and Proclaim) instantly saw the device as an input device. I'm not sure if that works on this board, but I don't see why it wouldn't.
Hope that helps. As for specifics on getting your feed to that Aux output, I'm not sure, but if you need help with that I wouldn't mine poking around in their docs some.

Hello Jordan, sorry for the extremely late reply. We had found a solution to this with a different procedure but now that system has not been reliable. We are having problems because our laptop has a shared headphones and mic jack. So we want to try going USB for the mixer. Can you still help me with this? I want to use these connections you suggested and I have a Behringer U-Control audio interface to use with my laptops USB port. You said something about the feed. I have not gotten around to playing with this new set up yet but any help you can offer is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Carlos.

In this video they show a special card on the back of the x32. Do You guys have those ports? If so, you can go straight from USB on the x32 to your computer. Proclaim should see this as an audio device.
If you don't have that, you can use the RCA aux ports into your U-control audio interface. Does it look like this? (http://www.fullcompass.com/prod/093012-Behringer-U-CONTROL-UCA202?utm_source=googleps&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=googleps&gclid=CIPpoOmw0ssCFYqPfgod-mcFww)
You will need to make sure to route your mix to the correct AUX out. Looks like you can do that via a Routing menu on the X32.
Did that help? Are you on Windows or Mac? If you are on a Mac you won't need any drivers, but on Windows, you will probably need to make sure you have the right drivers installed for your U-control.

Would it still work?I'm not sure if we have those USB connections on the back. I'm scheduled to meet with the sound tech and owner of the X32 and I'll share all this info you gave me and hopefully get us set up. Thank you Jordan.

That looks fine. I don't actually have one of these, but I have used similar usb devices and they work fine.
Sweet, I bet they may know more than me with regards to soundboards. Good luck and let me know if there is anything else

Thank you Jordan, you have been very helpful. The board is fairly new to them too and I guess everyone is in learning phase right now so we will see what we break. Lol
