How does one go about adding a signal to .jpeg slides that have been uploaded as images?

Signals are added to the Service Items. Add the image you uploaded as either a foreground or background to a service item (ie a Content Service Item). Under the Signals tab you should be able to add the signals you want.

The same thing applies to an Image Slide Show service item.

so in adding any signal (Bible, Calendar,Contact, Donation,Logos, Web) to an image then - does the image display on the app as the slide for the message in the sermon, or does it come up as that specific signals display?

In Proclaim when you go on-air and navigate to this Service Item the slide (your image) will show up on the main monitor. Simultaneously the signal will be broadcast. Any apps that are listening for signals (ie the Faithlife Study Bible mobile app). It depends on the signal type on how the mobile application will react (ie Bible Reference will take the app to that reference) but in general they will not see the image/slide.

The Proclaim Remote mobile app (iOS and Android - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.logos.proclaim.remote&hl=en) is used to display a presentation. You can Follow an presentation that is being presented near you. When the presenter changes slides they will be updated on that app.

What are you trying to do - perhaps we can make some suggestions.

    Nick,

As the preaching pastor at the church, I am trying to stream-line production aspects.  Currently, I create the sermon slides for our Sunday morning worship in Powerpoint.  I save them as .pptx and .jpeg.  I have had others in our team (our issue) choose not to use the prepared slides and on Sunday mornings try creating slides from my outline.  This doesn't allow for a final go-through for spelling and content layout corrections.  Basically the slides look different than what were created.  Not all of the slides I create have a bible reference on them and our people are saying they cannot follow along on those slides which do hot have a signal.

So I am played around a little last weekend and found that if I upload the .pptx slides - they are all messed up.(Coloring/font size/wording not all fitting on the screen.  If I upload the .jpeg as a 'image slideshow' they come up on the screen as produced, yet without signals.

We do have the signal aspect in our presentation.  I am trying to figure out how to add a signal to the image slideshow for all the slides produced that can be seen by those using the faithlife app.

    Does this help clarify?

Hi, Jim, and thanks for the clarification. You can add signals to an image slideshow in the Signals tab above the main editing field. Click the graphic below to see how this is done.

As you observed, they won't be added automatically if you import the PowerPoint presentation as a series of images, so someone will have to spend some time adding them prior to your service.
