The Go Box

I'm having some challenges with using the "Go box". I am going through the training videos for Logos 6. In the video, the person enters "temptation" into the Go Box and gets 4 panels with results.
When I try to enter "temptation" into the Go box on the home page, Logos automatically gives me a dropdown populated with passages on temptation. If I press enter as the video says to do, it takes me to the first item in the list (Genesis 3:1-7).
If I go to the bottom and select "search for temptation" I get a single page with search results. The problem is, it shows 0 results from my library.
The strange thing is, this worked yesterday.
Can anyone give me any insight into what is going on?
Thanks!

That's the third entry on my list - as below. What Logos 6 base package(s) or crossgrades do you have?

It's working correctly for me - as below. Please post a screenshot

I had the Libronix MacArthur Lifeworks library and just converted to Logos 6.
So, if I understand you correctly, you are using the free Logos 6 Engine. And this explains why the options we see in the dropdown are different. Mine is showing some of the options available from the base packages.

Here is a screen shot of the results.
Thank you.
So there are some sections that are returning zero results such as the "Library Resources" section. All that means, in that specific case, is you don't have any books with "temptation" in its title or description.
If you scroll down below "Books.Logos.Com" is there a section called "Library Results"? That should contain the results of searches in your resources

Yes - I do see results in the "books.logos.com". So this is the expected result with my version of the software then.
Thank you.

No - sorry i wasn't clear.
There should be another section - beneath the one titled "Books.Logos.Com" - called "Library Results".
This should show all resource in your library which contain the word "temptation".
Do you see this section? Are there any results shown in it?

Yes, it does have numerous results in the "Library Results" section.
What was confusing to me was in the training video the search opened other panels with the results in the Biblical Dictionaries, and my results didn't open any resources... even though I do have commentaries and dictionaries in my resources.

Can you check which option was selected from the drop-down menu in the video?
If I select my first option (called Temptation) it opens a custom layout including a Topic Guide and a range of Dictionaries.
But this requires either the purchase of a base package or a crossgrade

The video is here:
https://www.logos.com/30-day-training-4
There was no dropdown on the go box in the video (at 1:34)
I am trying to learn the basic software to see if I want to make the investment in a package. I'm pretty heavily invested in books in another software package, and none of my resources from that application will be usable in Logos. But I am seriously considering Logos because of the power it seems to have.
Do you know if the base packages go on sale during the "March Madness" sales event?
Thanks.

I see what you mean - and it is possible the video "hid it"
Effectively what happens in the video is selecting the first option which gets the results that I showed in my post above

Very sensible - although as we are seeing some of the power only becomes available with a base package.

I have never seen that happen and would be very surprised if it does
If you are looking at base package options I would recommend getting in touch with sales (contact details at https://www.logos.com/contact) and get their advice. Also worth noting that Logos do offer a 30-day money back policy if you find it doesn't give you what you need.

Base Packages do not go on sale during March Madness. They will go on sale when Logos 7 comes out. 15% off sales are frequent (But 10% has been advertised as the max until L7 comes out). Students get a deeper discount.
On Facebook, there is a group called Logos Resales where you can often buy resources or base packages at a deep discount.
Logos Cloud is probably the best way to test drive the real power of Logos for you; the first month is free and for the sweet spot, it is $20 a month after (16.67 if you pay for the year up front). For a base package, IMHO, Gold Standard is by far the best value to start. Denominational packages are good to add later, as needed.

Thank you for this tip. I will definitely check it out.
The number of resources available with Logos is a bit intimidating, and it really helps to have some help to navigate through it!
