Can Proclaim be updated offline by reinstalling it from a file, or updating it from a file?
Our church WiFi is VERY slow. It generally takes about 45min for a presentation to finish syncing, after we start the computer and open proclaim on Sunday morning.
(We office remotely since we needed to use office space for our growing church which is a good thing. This is why we don't get to sync during the week, plus we always have a lot of additions, updates, and finalizations, on Saturday.)
Needless to say, we never want to try doing an Proclaim update on Sunday morning or it might not be up in time for our first service.
MY SPECIFIC QUESTION IS THIS....
If I download the Proclaim installation file from Proclaimonline.com (which would be "Proclaim.dmg" for us), then can I simply install this over the existing installation at the church in order to bring it up to the latest update, without having to do it online?
I could then also restore the presentation from the saved backup that I put on a flash drive each week, which I frequently need to do anyway, when the WiFi is down, on rainy days. (You're probably LOL at this point).
(I've been having a few problems with restoring presentations, such as occasional announcement slides that are black on the lower half, videos without audio, fonts that are not the same, etc., and I believe this might be due at least in part to a presentation that is save on a computer with current updates being restored to a computer that is several updates behind.)
Thanks,
