Recording Interface

I would like to improve the quality of our sermon recordings while still making it easy for techs.
Proclaim has made it so easy to setup the recording!

My current setup is a direct feed from the mixer to the PC sound card. Ugh!
I considered buying a USB Audio Interface like the PreSonus AudioBox USB for better pre-amp control and lower noise.
Will a USB Audio Interface be available as a Microphone choice within Proclaim?

The setup would be mic to main mixer, direct out to audio interface, interface to USB on the PC running Proclaim.
Is that the best way?

Anyone doing it a different way or can you suggest a better method?

We've done limited testing on USB audio interfaces. So far we haven't run into any problems. I would assume that if it shows up as an audio recording device on your machine that Proclaim should detect it, but it's hard to say with certainty whether the device will be detected.

You might try the Church Tech faithlife group to see if anyone has used a similar setup.
