Logos members

I go to a large church in Destin,Florida and am thinking about doing a Logos group this summer. The only problem is that I know only three people that do Logos in my church but think others do, since there are at least 4,000 people in my church. I would like to know if there is any way that we can know who has Logos in a certain city? This would be very helpful to me. My church usually publishes a booklet telling the different groups that will be meeting and I can find out that way who might be interested in Logos.
I would appreciate any help or ideas on this topic.
Thanks,
Susan Murphy

Wow what a great idea! Wouldn't it be great if there were Logos User Groups in each metropolitan area? I go to a small church and doubt there are many Logos users, but in the greater Washington, D.C. area I'd imagine there are hundreds!

The only entity that would have the most accurate number would be Faithlife. Although they may not share the details of that information, they may be able to tell you the number of people who has Logos in your city/town.
It would be beneficial to us Logos/Verbum/Noet users if Faithlife began a sort of advertising service (maybe through Faithlife Today) where you could place an ad. Such a service would primarily attract Logos users.

I appreciate your enthusiasm and hope you are able to pull something together, but users have a right to privacy. You will need to find ways to seek out users on your own. Faithlife would have some pretty unhappy customers and a potential lawsui if they gave you that info.
some options:
- Create a thread in the forums with an appropriately informative title
- Create a Faithlife group for people to find
- ask to put an announcement in your church bulletin (or other means of advertising your church)
- put an ad on Craigslist
- submit an article to your local newspaper for the "local events" section

I know of several such groups, including one in Michigan.

Perhaps another option would be for FL to create a Forum here called Local User Groups. People could then post info on existing groups or request feedback from users in a local area.
Even with that visibility we know that just a fraction of users visit the Forums.

I used to be involved in a group that Precept Ministries with Kay Arthur had out of Chattanooga, Tn. with all kinds of ideas regarding Bible Study, etc. I loved being in that group. I would like to be in a similar group that discusses Logos, mentions local groups available in different cities, etc.. but also would like one that's international. We learn so much from each other. I cannot tell you how much this Forum has blessed, helped and challenged me.
One suggestion I can think of is that possibly on the Home page of Logos they would have a link where we could just click on it and communicate with people anywhere about Logos. I know we have the Forum but many people don't go there because you have to spend time looking for the Forum and go through several layers to actually get there. I think if you could have an easy to access link that specifies Logos 6, Logos 5 or whatever that it would be tremendous. And of courses, I know, it would need to be monitored. Just a suggestion.

No offense Susan, but I don't want you (or anyone else) sending me unsolicited emails. Any solution must be "opt in" only!

Great idea. Everything needs to be public like in a forum and people should be able to "opt out". Everybody has different demands in life and we want to keep everything above board.
Thanks.
