Dear Verbum/Faithlife, please break up The Lives and Letters of the Counter-Reformation (8 vols.), which deals with four different Saints with rather varied backgrounds and mixes both biographies and materials written by the Saints themselves. Subsets and individual volumes from this collection will be more attractive to many customers (like me) than is buying the whole thing.

Furthermore, this is almost the last collection of public domain Catholic material that has not been broken up, which suggests that breaking up collections like this makes sense to Faithlife. When you do break it up, it would be worth noting in the marketing copy that St. John of Ávila is now a Doctor of the Church.

“The trouble is that everyone talks about reforming others and no one thinks about reforming himself.” St. Peter of Alcántara
