I am trying to upload files for the Journal and Letters of Francis Asbury, which Wesleyan Heritage Foundation gave me permission to share.  But I keep getting error statements.

    What kind of error messages?

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Did you make sure the files are smaller than 5 megabytes? I think that's the size limit of the forum Software.

That must be it.  All files are well over 5 megabytes.

try compressing them to zip files - alternatively you might share them as documents in a Faithlife group of your choice (which is more persistent than a dropbox link or so others have used in such cases) and point us towards the link.

I am trying to upload the three volume "Journal and Letters of Francis Asbury".  It has hundreds of invaluable footnotes which are live in my personal books.

I just received permission from Wesleyan Heritage Publications to share this.

I am thinking about dividing each volume into two or three files?  Something like Vol. 1 A, 1 B, and 1 C.

The docx files aren't perfect.  There is an occasional spacing or format issue, but the text is very good.  The footnotes are live in my personal book, and that is so important.  It is a massive work, but someone may want to perfect the spacing issues.  I am happy with it as it now is, and delighted to share this great work.  Should have it up soon.

One of the files is just over 9131 kb.  I assume a thousand KB equals 1 megabyte.  Oddly, when I divided it into two files I had two files that were both over 5 megabytes.  When I zipped the original file it was reduced only f rom 9 megabytes to 8 megabytes.

But I will figure this out!

I have decided that Dropbox is my best solution.  That is how I will share the files.

Thanks so much to NB.Mick and MJ for the help.  I was really at a loss to know what the problem was.  Good to have the experts around when you need them!
