I recorded on Sunday. Today I am trying to download the recording but receive this message.

Unable to find files to merge. Was this recorded on different machine?

This has happened before to me. Yes I am using a different machine. But sometimes I have not gotten this message. What is causing this to happen?

This typically due to an unfinished upload of the recording from the machine you recorded on. 

Once you are done with your service, the recording is uploaded in the background, but if you shutdown (quit) Proclaim before it finishes the upload, the other computer cannot do the publishing. You should see the upload job in the bottom of the main window as shown in this forum post:
