Is there a way to change default fonts and effects?

We like to use a drop shadow almost all the time and it would be helpful to be able to make it a part of the default settings. We also need to increase the default 50 font size for our church.  Is there a way to establish our own default settings for things like fonts, font size and effects?  Thanks.
