Failed to Upload Error

Hello,

Our church has been using proclaim for about a month now, and we started receiving an error message when trying to publish the audio recordings. Up until a few weeks ago, we have been able to publish without any problems. I have been able to publish the recordings from home on a different computer, but our main computer at church that we use is the one receiving the error message. We have tried logging in under a different account, and one time that allowed the recording to be published for some reason. The account under which the recordings are receiving the error is also able to publish remotely as well, so the switched user account seems to have been a coincidence. I am attaching the log file from an attempt to publish one of the recordings that failed.

Hi, Tiffany, and welcome to the forums. Your log file contains the following message:

    2016-03-20 18:26:38.8408 1 Error WindowsAudioPlayer Windows Media Player media failed event - C:/Users/Greater%20Life/AppData/Local/Proclaim/Data/e5yu0qy4.1mm/AudioRecordings/2c9b2b4e-dec6-4125-93c6-c97181c86497/merged.wav System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0xC00D11BA): Exception from HRESULT: 0xC00D11BA

This is error occurs when Windows Media Player can't open an audio file, and is typically an indication that there is an issue with your audio hardware. I would suggest making sure that your audio drivers are up-to-date on the church computer before anything else. You can accomplish this by opening Device Manager, right clicking on your audio device, and selecting 'Update driver software...'

If this doesn't work, please let us know and we can pursue more troubleshooting steps.

I checked today and all our audio drivers are up-to-date.

The error message you're receiving isn't Proclaim-related, so as long as you're able to publish from another computer after syncing the recording, I'd recommend that as the optimal workflow. A couple of things that I'd advise if it's worth your time to troubleshoot this on the church computer:

    • Make sure Windows is completely up-to-date.
    • Follow the steps here to rule out multiple causes.
    • Install the codec pack found here for Windows Media Player.
