Hi

I have this Luther 1545 from Logos (witch is not the real one). You can see the different to the real one the right (Personal Book) and the 1912 on the Left.

Question: Can anyone tell me the Source of the Logos 1545. All I found out it's a 19 Jhd. Facsimely. But I like to know from whom and why there is 1 John 5:7 in it. Can someone help me in that (dit research in Net but coul'nt find an answer, beside this is not the real 1545.

Sascha

I do not know who was originally responsible for this, but at some point the spelling of the 1545 text was updated, and it is this updated version which Logos has included. The update was published widely by CPH in the 19th century, but I do not believe they were responsible for the update of the text.

As you note, the Johannine Comma was included as well, which Luther did not include in his text. I believe this was the only editorial change introduced into the text. Everything else was just spelling.
