Just one more performance enhancement possibility for L4....

So I'm just surfing the web, looking for drivers for my ATI Radeon Mobility 4650 video card in my Dell Studio laptop.
I happen upon a link that talks about "poor performance" when the "Powerplay" is enabled in the software for this card (and others)
So, I uncheck the box...and it really seemed to "snap up" Logos 4!
So anyone who is running an ATI card, with the "Catalyst Control Center" software...just uncheck the box marked "use power play"
I thought i'd pass it on...it may help some people....

I can't seem to find it. What tap is "Powerplay" found on in the Catalyst Control Center?

Thanks for the response. I now understand why I could not find it, this is a feature for laptops, not desktop computers.

Powerplay stops the card from throttling down to keep cool. This will allow the card to potentially reach 105 degrees which is very hot. Surprised that Logos needs the extra power as that is normally only needed for gamers. Interesting....

Daniel,
Ahh...that explains why I got that tip from a gamer site
I didn't say Logos "needs" it....I'm just always fooling with my system....fast is never fast enough....:)
