Reformation Study Bible Notes 2015

Currently, the Faithlife Study Bible offers the Reformation Study Bible notes as an option to read along with the biblical text.  However, the Reformation Study Bible notes were updated in 2015 (and offered as a separate purchase through Logos).  When will the Faithlife Study Bible update the Reformation Study Bible notes to the new 2015 edition (or offer them alongside the existing Reformation Study Bible notes)?

The forums are users helping users so we don't know. Faithlife rarely gives us information on products that are under negotiation (assuming that it is or will be). Just keep watching the pre pub page.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

The OP is wondering when Faithlife will link it to the Bible text.

You're saying that the Faithlife Study Bible links to the Reformation Study Bible Notes? as in just the normal links or as in something special?

I think the links must be the common ones but I don't use FSB so I am not sure what the OP is referring to. Maybe we can get some more clarification.

I'm pretty confident that I know what he's referring to, and if not, it's a related issue. In the iphone/android apps you can select which Study Bible Notes you want to link with your Bible, and I remember noticing that the old Reformation Study Bible was available to link to, but not the new edition.

Yes, James got it.  That's exactly right.  Its a common link that I was referring to (nothing special).  The old Reformation Study Bible notes are available in the Faithlife Study Bible app, but even while the new 2015 notes came out in Logos, there has been nothing (at least, not that I could find), about the new 2015 Reformation Study Bible notes for the Faithlife Study Bible app. Time kept going by.  I kept looking and searching, but I could not find any answers.

So since I've recently discovered the forums, I figured that those much more knowledgeable about how all this works together would have a better understanding and could possibly shed some light on the situation.  Which you all have done.  Thank you.

I still have much to learn, so I apologize if I ask questions that most already know or put the questions in the wrong areas.

This thread may shed some light, especially the last post by Kevin from Faithlife: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/124097.aspx.

Actually, that's referring to a separate issue, which I've also encountered.  One used to be able to buy (i own it for ipad) a stand-alone app from itunes called reformation study bible (though it was powered by Logos), they've since discontinued that app. But that's got nothing to do with why the new notes aren't allowed as an option in the FSB app

No problem Bill, you will find that most people here are very kind and very helpful.  Here's a helpful post about how to search the forums efficiently. There are some excellent strategies discussed there and I highly recommend reading MVPs Tip-of-the-day (primarily by MJ Smith)

Thanks for clarifying. I don't use the FSB app, I didn't know about the RSB app till I came across the thread I referenced, and though I own the 2005 RSB I've never used it. Obviously, I don't know anything about anything [:P] (which, you'd think, would keep me from posting [:S])

Not true, thank you for all your input. It's often the combined suggestions that help us sort out all the issues.

NICE!  I didn't know this even existed.  Now, after following the link, I have the Reading List in my Logos. And at this posting, the list is already up to 401 tips.  Looks like I've got some reading to do.

    Thank you!

I'm sorry I didn't catch this earlier.  There is a difference between the Faithlife Study Bible resource and the Faithlife Study Bible mobile app of the same name.  It's a bit confusing, I agree.

In the future please post any mobile app related issues (for Bible, FSB, Verbum, Vyrso, Noet and Biblia mobile apps) to either the iPhone/iPad Apps or Android Apps forums.  I'll enter a case to see if we can add the 2015 version of the RSB Notes to the FSB mobile app - thanks Bill for the report.

Thanks for pointing that out.  I'll try to be more specific in the future and place my queries in the appropriate location.  Sorry for the error.

And thank you for looking into the RSB Notes for the FSB mobile app.  [:)]
