Audio Problems

We output Proclaim to an Apple TV unit connected to the projector and the sound system. This has worked OK for several months. Last Sunday, we tried to play a video inserted into Proclaim. It was epic except it had no sound. Play the same clip using the Quicktime player in the same configuration and its great....and has sound. Right now, no video clips have sound coming out of Proclaim. I don't see an obvious setting (something like Audio Output for example) to toggle and get things working again. On "Vintage" Sunday, the silent movie would have been a hit....last Sunday, not so much.

Clint, we've had a few reported issues of AppleTV's and Proclaim not communicating reliably, but nothing about having no sound. I'll test this when I have a chance with an AppleTV here on one of your presentations and see if I can reproduce the issue.

I've been playing video clips for a couple of months now....rock solid until last Sunday. A configuration that worked the previous week (I don't think Proclaim was updated last week) doesn't work now. I can play the clip on my desktop....it works fine. The problem comes when I play it from that particular computer.

Just to leave a note for the next person trying to run down the problem. It turns out that the audio on this video clip (and every clip we tried to play on Proclaim on this particular computer) was muted. It took an hour to see that the volume sider was turned all the way down to mute in the Preview view. Volume on a video is machine specific, that video plays on any other mac in the universe, but on our sanctuary mac the volume is turned all the way down. Same was true of any video played through Proclaim on that particular machine. And a good time was had by all. . . .
