MacBook Pro Resolution Issues

Our church recently switched from a regular laptop to a MacBook Pro. With the old computer our projector screen was filled with the images. With the Mac the screen is not full. Please help with what I can do to fix this.

I'm not entirely sure, but here are a couple things.

If you are using screen mirroring and your new computer has a different aspect ratio screen than the projector, you will see letter boxing.
Could be that the settings need to be changed in you mac display settings. There are different resolutions available for each screen.
Proclaim has both 4:3 and 16:9 sizes. Do you need to change this to match your projector?
If you used a new input on the projector, you may need to change the 'wide' setting. Normally there are a couple options such as wide, full, zoom.
