Overlay Video of Organist with words

Last time I did this I had to download the video and the sound track separately and then play the video in the background and add the sound as a separate track.

Is this still the only way to accomplish this feat.

Are we any nearer to a more logical solution?

All this would require is an unmute button. Am I right? Motion backgrounds are muted by default but allowing the user to unmute them seems to make sense to me. This would work in your situation, correct?

I work with a lot of small groups, rural churches, residential homes etc. There is usually no possibility of having a musician along and often the folk are not confident in singing by themselves.

I am usually scratching around for a recording of the hymn sung by a group which are not seeking to showcase their vocal prowess. This can often be found on some of the worship festival gathering recordings or in this case a video of a congregation.

It would help a lot if I could simply use the video with sound an overlay the words for the hymn.

It would require the video to play through as a background to Song item in the way that sound files do now.

I guess the option to mute the video would be useful for some folk.
