Church Bulletins - We need your feedback!
I'm excited to announce the new "Bulletins" tab on Faithlife church groups. This video by Wyatt explains it pretty well. The feature is available to any church group, but right now groups with affiliated Proclaim groups will find it most the most useful, since presentations with signals can be imported into bulletins.

I like the idea that they can now be saved and downloaded. Will try it out hopefully this week.

I like the idea and would like to have just a digital bulletin. However, we still have some people who don’t own or rarely use a computer and would like a printed version. Can this be downloaded and easily printed in a program like Word? Are there sections that you can predefine (i.e. header with church logo and name, website, etc.) that you would not have to put together each week? I’m thinking of a template of sorts. Can you insert portions of a Proclaim presentation or does it have to be the entire presentation?

This looks great....and I'm a fan of moving everything to a digital format. The reality is that half of my congregation would still want / need a printed bulletin. The only way it makes sense in my workflow would be to have it easily export something likc a .docx file that I can format and print. I won't format one printed bulletin and then a totally different digital bulletin.

We understand that people may use many different applications to make their printed bulletins, and that they often have to be fit to a specific size.
Would it be enough if we offered an easy 'Copy' link that put the entire bulletin's rich text onto the clipboard, for pasting into Word or another editor?
What editor do you use?

I'm thrilled with Bulletins as a new tool. I can't wait to use it. A couple questions: Once I've added the order of worship from Proclaim to Bulletins, is there a way to edit the order in Bulletins? Maybe I'd like to delete items, say an announcement slide, I only want to see in Proclaim, not Bulletins. Also, is there a quick way to access my Proclaim media in Bulletins? For example, if I'd like to add a slide into Bulletins that I've used in Proclaim in the past?

Not yet, but it's coming.
In the meantime, check out the new Print and Copy functions while editing a Bulletin.

This is a great idea. Suggestion for improvement - Please, please, please provide an option to select a default standard Bible translation when referencing Scripture in public posts. We simply do not desire to publish any other version than our preferred translation for sake of uniformity and integrity, whether it be digital or print, across our ministry platforms. Perhaps there is a setting for selecting this, but I cannot seem to locate it. Thank you in advance for your kind consideration.

I also would like the option to remove individual items from the "Order of Service" imported from Proclaim.

Is there a way to make is public? I am looking at implementing this as our bulletin, but not everybody (actually most do not) have a FaithLife.org login (something we are working on). We publicize the URL as www.vantagepointechurch.com/program/ that will then redirect the user to the current online bullitin, and if it is not public then those without a login will not be able to see, and those with a login will be forced to login -- not really useful in our scenario.
Thoughts? Please advise. Thanks!

Your bulletin should be public by default, unless you've made your group secret. You can test it by opening the bulletin URL in a Private / Incognito window.

Yes, that is what I was led to believe, but it doesn't show. Requests a login.

If you open that incognito (or a browser that you are not logged into FaithLife) you will see the login prompt.
Here lies the issue!! How does one go about changing that setting. Group is flagged as OPEN, so that shouldn't be the problem

Has your bulletin been published? I just created two test bulletins and when I follow your link, the result appears the same as when I follow my draft bulletin. You can see the bulletin list on your Faithlife group settings (if you are an admin of the group).
Click on the name of the draft bulletin should have a 'Publish' button at the top. Once I published my test bulletin, I was able to view in an incognito window with no Faithlife login.

I was wrong, Bulletins from Proclaim presentations should automatically get published, but I had a chance to chat with our Bulletin expert and he looked at your group settings. For the public to be able to read your posts, you need to adjust your group settings to open it to the public.
In the group settings, you can click the 'Public' checkbox along the top of 'Group Permissions' to open up the group for public reading of the content.

So the "About your group -> Privacy level" and "Group Permissions -> Privacy settings" are mutually exclusive?

They cover different access but work together for some access and features.
The 'About your group' affects how people can find and join your group.
The 'Group Permissions' affect how people interact and can read your group posts, calendars, reading plans.
Bulletins are a new feature and require an 'Open' group with public access for reading without a Faithlife login.
If you want to keep tighter permissions on your group, people would need Faithlife accounts and either be followers or members of your church group.

It would be good to be able to linke digital bulletins" into the handout feature of Logos so that printed versions can be produces quickly
