Pastor? Church leader? Join Faithlife's private focus group!
I really appreciate the feedback I get here in the forums!
I also like to have one-on-one meetings with pastors where we can drill down on their specific needs and talk about ways Faithlife could help them.
I'd like to expand the group of pastors (and church leaders) beyond those I can meet with in person. If you'd like to be part of that group, you can join here:

Please join if you are a pastor, or someone who influences decisions on tools, technology, and curriculum at your church.
Please join if you are willing to take an occasional survey and to share how you do things at your church.
Please join if you can stand to hear exciting new products that may never be built and about new pricing models that we may never implement, and can resist sharing these ideas in public. 
Please join if you can hear a crazy idea for a stupid thing that isn't important, and yet resist the urge to tell us to "Stop working on that and go fix [this annoying bug.]"
This will be a place to explore and test ideas.

Hey Bob, when are you going to expand the horizons and have a private focus group for Sunday School teachers, religious ed and faith formation teachers, liturgical ministers ... all those people who actually make church work - often in ways the pastors simply depend on rather than understand... I'm retired, I promise not to volunteer. [:D]

Hello, Bob,
Now that I'm 80 my only task is to teach short-term adult classes a couple of times a year, This positions me to heartily second MJ's motion. In my 50's I stepped back from pastoring mid-sized congregations to become an associate pastor for children's and adult ed., in other words to support "all those people who actually make church work", as MJ put it so eloquently. A focus group for such makes sense to me, too.

Not what you want to hear, but I am with M.J and Steve. As a layman who teaches Sunday School and leads Community Groups I would love to find a focus group where I can participate and contribute to the Logos Community. My first suggestion would be to build a base package for laymen, light on Greek and Hebrew and heavy on Commentaries, Dictionaries, Atlases, and Bible Background sets.

I believe we can do that right here in the forums. As needed we may create other groups for more focused conversations -- but we can (and do!) discuss Logos Bible Software in great detail, and for a huge audience, right here.
The Church Tools are a new area of growth for us. While we are still all about Logos Bible Software, as a business we need to find new places to grow, so that we can both survive and continue to support the Logos user base. (If you are wondering why these things are connected, I can go into more detail.)
However, it's been hard to talk about things other than Logos Bible Software when any thread on a new topic (or worse, a speculative idea) is immediately hijacked by a "How dare you even think about doing useless Project X when you haven't addressed [this specific bug / issue / wishlist item]!" post.
It tends to shut down the conversation. [:(]
For what it's worth, we know a lot (though never as much as we'd like!) about our customers, and while we do sell to a wide spectrum of the Church, the 'average Logos user' is a pastor. So we want to continue to find ways to serve pastors, even as we build tools to help everyone study the Bible.
We believe, in fact, that Church Tools are a way we can help more of the Church 'grow in the light of the Bible', and a lot of our growth ideas revolve around ways to increase engagement and distribute Bible study tools and education to the whole Church, including those members unlikely to download and install a large Bible study tool on their laptop. Because they may not even use a laptop. Or do much 'study'. They may largely get info from video in feeds they consume on their phone...
With all that said, more people are welcome to join the Church Tools Focus Group, if you're willing to 'focus' on Church Tools while there. [:D]

I appreciate that more than 60 people have joined this group, but there's been surprisingly little engagement with the questions in the activity feed, etc.
42 of you should have received an email newsletter this morning. (The other 20 or so must have newsletters and/or email notifications turned off.)
- Are you seeing the newsletter?
- Are you getting notifications of new posts in the group activity feed?
If you're just too busy that's understandable... but if none of the messaging is coming through, I'd like to look into that. :-)

Go to the main Logos.com website
Click on your name in the upper right hand corner
Click on the E-Mail Lists and RSS Feeds in the drop-down menu
I believe that you need to check the first box titled "Corporate News" (I think that is it)
You may want to check the "NewsWire" box also
Maybe Graham can confirm .... looks like he has done it already.

You set it via Faithlife notifications.
From a page on Faithlife.com click the notification icon (alarm icon at top right) and then choose "settings"
There is a settings there for newsgroups

I've requested to join, but haven't heard back yet. I know this is an older thread...are you still allowing people to join?
I am a pastor in the UMC, but my background is in computer technology...systems admin and Java Developer. Would love to be part of the group.
I'm starting to push my congregation toward FaithLife groups and study tools.
