Excessively Bright Color Shades of Some Bible Book Cover Icons Causing Painful Eye Strain
I previously submitted the information within this posting to the Logos 6 forum under the thread “Logos 7 Suggestions Due Soon”. I thought it might be appropriate to share this posting within this forum as well since the topic I mention may possibly relate to accessibility issues (if I am understanding that term correctly).
Due to an astigmatism I have (for which I wear prescription computer glasses), the current excessively bright color shades of the ESV and LEB Bible book cover icons which were implemented with the introduction of Logos 6 are causing painful eye strain and distracting me from reading the Bible text. (A majority of other Bible book cover icons were also changed for Logos 6 with similar excessively bright colors but the ESV and LEB are the most bothersome.)

- Allow users to add their own book cover icons and to share the icons they add with other users.
- Allow users to individually switch to a generic grey book cover icon if they prefer (such as currently used for several clause visualization resources).
- Allow users to hide the image of the Bible book cover icon and instead “show label” reflecting the Bible translation’s standard initials (ESV, LEB) as is currently available for shortcut icons within the Shortcuts Bar. (this option was submitted today as a comment to the original recommendation)

- Restore the ESV, LEB, and any other Bible book cover icon whose brightness level was changed for Logos 6 back to its original Logos 5 color shade and lower brightness level.
- Allow users to individually customize the color shade and brightness level of any Bible book cover icon.
- Allow users to hide or "turn off" Bible book cover icons when the resource is opened.
Any one or combination of the above listed options would satisfactorily address this issue. Those options which maximize the amount of control the user has over the appearance of the icons would be preferable. This issue has been and continues to be my #1 concern with my Logos 6 program. I will continue to pray that it can be addressed either through a Logos 6 update or with the introduction of Logos 7.

I very much appreciate your thoughtful reply but unfortunately Night Mode is not going to work for me. I have no technical background but it seems to me that some of the potential solutions I submitted to the UserVoice site would be relatively easy for Logos to implement.
I'm thankful they made no changes to the NASB95 book cover icon (my preferred Bible translation). The NASB95 icon is much easier on my eyes than the ESV, LEB, and some of the others. If they cannot implement any of my suggestions, I'm praying at the very least Logos 7 makes no change to the current NASB95 book cover icon.
