On Screen Bible

I'm a new user (actually still testing the software via the free trial) I apologize if this has been addressed somewhere else but I tried using the On Screen Bible. Sometimes it scrolls to the verse and displays it as it should other times it ends up displaying a white screen.

This happens randomly on both my laptop and desktop. The desktop has 12 GB of RAM and runs no other programs as it is our techbooth computer so I don't think it is a memory issue. Has anyone else run into this problem with this feature?

Any info or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Floyd. I hope your trial's going well aside from the hiccups with the OSB. There is a known issue where a blank white screen appears when two identical references are entered into the OSB (which it doesn't look like you have in your presentation). I wasn't able to reproduce what you described when I ran through your service items, unfortunately, but I'll investigate whether these two issues are tied together in some way.

I know you said that this issue happens intermittently, but a screen capture or screenshot of this happening on one of you machines would help us track down a possible cause, also.

I have been having this issue too most weeks. I am speaking about the OSB version with the scrolling "text-style" look. What happens is that the intro frame loads for the book name and then it dumps into a white frame for the first frame. My workaround has been hitting the second frame on the remote (which loads properly) and then hitting the first frame to have it roll back. This happens about 50% of the time that I use the OSB, but there is no rhyme or reason to when it will happen or not, aside from me noticing that if I put the presentation on-air, load my OSBs, and then go back to the first slide, I usually don't have the hiccup when the OSB loads "for real" the second time. Of course this is dependant upon me not scurrying around on Sunday morning and actually having the time to give it my attention.

We used some On Screen Bible scriptures during our sermon last Sunday (the scrolling effect type), which we also recorded using Proclaim for the first time. When viewing the recording, the OSB slides only showed the verse reference in front of some blurred text instead of the actual bible text as was visible to the audience.

Bill - I'm looking into this bug and attempting to reproduce it. Thanks for the report (it sounds like it's pretty hard to nail down).

Frederic - SoundFaith does not currently support the full OSB animation, but we plan to do so in the future. Videos from your presentation will also not show up in the final video on SoundFaith. Sorry about this inconvenience.

Any progress on fixing the bug for white screen on identical texts in OSB? I'm working exegetically through Matthew and instead of having one OSB element with multiple references (going from the Matthew text to a reference and back to the same Matthew text) I have to created new elements for each return to a same text. Would love for that to be fixed.
