Proclaim Profiles

Hello,

My name is Evan Say, I'm a media tech at Northridge Christian Church.

We currently use Proclaim on our Mac mini every Sunday morning which is going great. I was hoping to run Proclaim on Wednesday nights for our youth group services through that same account. However, the youth worship team regularly plays some of the same songs that the Sunday worship team plays, but the order of the song is typically different. Is there any way to run separate profiles on the same account so that I don't have to change the order of lyrics within a song on a Sunday and Wednesday?

To clarify, both teams may play Blessed Be Your Name for example, but the organization of the song itself varies per team. However if I use the same profile, I can only edit the song to either the Sunday team's organization or the Youth team's organization.

Have you tried editing the song and then renaming it 'Blessed be Your Name (Blessed Wednesday Lot)'?

You do have two copies of the song pop up when you go to Reuse Items but it is easy to see which is which.

Hi, Evan, and welcome to the forums! There are two solutions to this, feel free to use either one of them.

As Mike pointed out, you can have two differently named versions of "Blessed be Your Name" in "My Songs" (this is where your customized versions of songs live). In the near future we're planning on releasing an update that allows you to view full lyric previews in the songs dropdown menu, which will make differentiating these two a piece of cake.
As Mike also pointed out (thanks Mike!), you can also make use of the "Reuse Items" feature, which is what I'd recommend. Every service item that you've ever put in a presentation is available in the Reuse Items list. Just search for "Blessed be Your Name (Wednesday)" and select the service item from the list.

That will work perfectly. I had just noticed to profile options in the upper right hand corner and was wondering if that could work in that manner.

But renaming the two songs will certainly do what we need it to.
