New! Free church bulletin editor, online bulletins
Our new Church Bulletin Editor is online!
You can:
- Create a church bulletin with text, graphics, Bible passages, and a digital connection card.
- Print the bulletin.
- Copy the full text of the bulletin to the clipboard for more precise formatting in Word, Publisher or another tool.
- View the Bulletin on mobile devices without any application or login.
If you use Proclaim, announcements, song titles, Bible verses, and more will automatically be added to the church's bulletin.
This if free, and it is live now.
Find your church at https://faithlife.com, and if you're an Admin you can create and edit the bulletin right now. Later, if anyone has filled in a digital connection card, you can download a CSV file with all the information.
Congregants can see the bulletin simply by visiting https://faithlife.com/example-community-church (use your church's Faithlife URL). On Saturday and Sunday each week the default view will be the Bulletins tab, so they can just go to that address and they're done.
(If you take regular attendance, people can use the digital bulletin each week to re-submit their presence without having to write their name again -- it will remember it between sessions.)
You can see some real, live bulletins from other churches here:

Here is a video tour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIxHqwJmobM
Try it out and let us know what you think!
Why Use a Digital Bulletin?
- Announcement details can be downloaded directly to people's calendars. They're more likely to attend events they put on their calendar!
- Bible verses are shown right on the phone, without a lot of thumb-navigation. A single click jumps through to a full Bible.
- The Connection Card can be filled out easily without a pencil, and you can take weekly attendance without requiring people to fill in the form again each week. And no one has to type in all the cards!
- Save paper!
Pro Tip
Visit http://fl.vu/ and you can make a custom short URL for your church, so people can just navigate to http://fl.vu/example or some other short URL.

We saw a number of churches try the Bulletins last week -- thanks!
What did you think? We'd love to get your feedback.

I'm curious where to access the filled out virtual card at.
Am definitely excited about this possibility, but playing with it so far I have not been able to find where this information (the virtual card information) is located.
Also, in the video there was a "Giving" section. I do not see that on my dashboard.
A followup question to this giving: How are the monies transferred? Are there any fees, etc?
Will continue to play around with it, though!
Thank you for the development of this!!

NOTE: I do not have Proclaim. Not sure if that makes a difference with the questions above.

I don't see access to the connection card.

Hi Ruben,
Giving sections are only supported when using Proclaim right now. There is a donation signal that you can add to your presentation. Without Proclaim, you can still add events, bible verses, images, and rich text blocks. The connection card section is always added to every bulletin - to download filled out connection cards, click the "Download" option on the "..." menu on the bulletins list.
Hope that helps!

At the moment we don't have an integrated giving tool; Proclaim allows you to specify a hyperlink (to PayPal or whatever your online giving solution is) in a signal, and the Bulletins send it through.
You can also just add the hyperlink to a text block in the bulletin yourself, without using Proclaim.

Played around with one, and like the idea. The young people will probably be the first ones to use the eregistration.
Mission: To serve God as He desires.

Ok. After playing with it a little more I have 2 recommendations:
1) Make the calendar events in the bulletins downloadable (or usable for a computer and/or smart phone). As is, they are mere text (not much different than a bulletin). If you cannot make them usable, then can you allow for the admin to add text under the "event" so as to point people to a downloadable calendar?
2) Make the calendar a tab, like "News," "About," "Bulletin," etc. As is, the calendar is non-existent for a smart phone user (unless I am missing something).
**It seems a lot of features are missing on the page for smart phones (esp. sidebar).
I'm going to continue to play around w/this.
Thanks again!!

Both of those recommendations are bugs that we already have plans to address this week

Is it possible to edit the connections card? I would like to be able to add and subtract from it. Keep up the good work.

When creating a new bulletin, where is it pulling the e-mail address and other contact info from? It shows my personal e-mail. I do not see where to change that?
0 -
It shouldn't be doing that. Can you send me a screenshot or a picture of what you are seeing to my email address? dustin.masters@faithlife.com

Ah, figured out what's going on. The email address is being pulled from the group contact information. Since that is a closed group, anyone who isn't a member won't be able to see that. Keeping the group closed also has the side effect of hiding bulletins from anyone who isn't signed in. If you wanted to remove that email, just go into your group settings and clear out the email field.

I filled out the connect card form, as did some others, this past Sunday on https://faithlife.com/vantage-pointe-church/bulletins/24563 and when I download the CSV I see the questions, but no answers. This is a little concerning when trying to connect with folks!!
Also, our Lead Pastor asked if there is a way to change was is in that section of the program?
Please advise. Thanks!

Hi Toby,
We're still working on an editor for the connection card. I'll look into why the connection card isn't downloading for you.

Cheers. Hopefully anything submitted is available!! [:)]

Hi Toby,
We shipped a fix to resolve this issue. The connection card should now include the information that was missing. Please let me know if there's anything else I can help address.

Dustin, much thanks. I was just able to log in and saw the data in the CSV.
Appreciate the support. Have a great day!

Hi is this service still live?? I found multiple references of it including how to create one for my group however everything seems like youve removed this service including the link to the example bulletin in your original post.
Please advise as I would love a service like this online. Thanks!!

I started taking a look at this feature and the newsletter feature this week. There's a few quirks to it, but I was able to generate a bulletin. I'd like to see the newsletter and bulletin feature merged e.g., add verses to the newsletter, add prayer requests to the bulletin. The primary issue I have with both are the errors on saving and the failure to save with a not-so-instructive prompt of "enter text", I'm not sure what element is failing...is it a title or body? Overall, both are good tool which I hope will stick around.

Since obviously you still use the tool do you have a bulletins tab in the same place as the newsletter tab? I do not see a bulletins tab like the bulletin tutorial suggests.
Additionally, can you create (for example) a 8x14 digital bulletin that can also be printed at the size?
Thanks.

Would you mind taking a screenshot when you get the error? We'd like to fix the bug you ran into.

CAN SOMEONE ANSWER MY QUESTIONS PLEASE??

I do not see the Bulletin tab any longer on my pages. Perhaps it has been removed? I tried using it a year or two ago, but in Beta form it simply had too many issues (same with the newsletter). I would suggest not spending too much time trying to figure it out until Faithlife decides what they are going to do with the Bulletin feature, if anything.
