Can anyone tell me what is supposed to be different in 7?

I see absolutely no difference in any guides ( passage guide hype isn't present here).

As I don't know what I'm supposed to be seeing, i have no way to know if download didn't work correctly etc.
I cannot find anything on logos site that shows me either.
i do have 2 new tools ( i won't use - hello) but, cannot find nor see anything else .

thanks

Would you mind sharing the name of what you bought (preferably the way it appears on your receipt), so you can get some help in figuring out what you got? Obviously, if you paid money for something L7-related, then your software should be different in some way and/or you should have more resources in your library. Has everything downloaded already? Is it done indexing?

https://community.logos.com/forums/t/129206.aspx gives a list of what is new ... considerably more than nada which leaves me puzzled as to why you aren't seeing more. There is a much shorter list if you had Logos Now.

    9051932- full feature set

i have a large library I have built over many years.

I see no changes anywhere, no new tools, guides etc.

I thought I had two new tools ( ones I won't use but, understand them) on reboot of software ( closed it  last night after everything loaded, made sure it worked etc) - nothing, not a single thing is different than 6 that i can find.

If you did not have Logos Now, you should see new sections id  the Passage and Exegeitcal Guides, at least two new tools, many new preset visual filters,  several new search options shown in the cookbooks . . .

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

    thanks MJ.

    Not there.

No to Now- I don't rent things, too wasteful unless its something I'm going to use just once.

I find that plan to be most distasteful, brilliant money maker through.

I will call tech Monday and start the whole Logos doesn't work right thing again- sigh.
Grin, hey, I knew better, did it anyway- such poor impulse control eh!
    hahahaha

    Thanks again.

Two things to check ... both of which may be obvious but:

    • you did get an email with a download link to use and used it?
    • what release of the software does About Logos show?

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

If you upgraded from Logos 6 (without Logos Now) to Logos 7 (with the Full Feature Set), you should see everything listed at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/129206.aspx (with the exception of "subscription only" features).

Fr. Charles, about the only clue you bought something is in the layouts menu ... some newbie layouts.

If I I miss my guess, you'd be most pleased with 'MultiView' or 'Multiple Resources' in the tool tip.  When you pull up your Bible (as an example), the icon on the top row with 3 vertical lines.  Does wonders for Bible study.  Else L7 is a bit of a sleeper  except for the LN-ers.

still nothing showing up for me.
Have been told I need to rent logos now , but since I paid for the tools, that should not be the case.

Logos mail support has referred me to phone support but, they are busy and so am I.

I do find it rather odd we are paying great deal for very, very little but, its being touted as a whole number upgrade- no one would put up with that from Apple or Google- hello!

I will give it time to settle down a bit for logos and try calling to get it fixed .

Bottom line is- I think Im done with this ride.
Whats coming soon is we will lose all we have invested unless we pay to use the tools .
    imho

What two new tools did you think you had?

    Please post screenshots of:

    • Your "Documents" menu
    • Your "Tools" menu
    • What you see in the resource visual filter menu (as below)
