The way Logos currently handles hyperlinking makes it quite timeconsuming to link elements in the notes to the books you are reading via the hyperlinkt (ctrl+K) function.
There may be a number of ways to do this, but I suggest the following:
When you press ctrl+K in notes you enter hyperlink mode.
When you are in hyperlink mode what you write out, in the note autopopulates a search field where open resources are prioritized, creating a link to the currently active section.
Say I work on a note for Is 57:15. I read something i want to link to i NICOT so I just press ctrl+k and I start typing out NICOT (I could also write "Oswalt", "New In..." ++). While I type the search field is autopopulated and since this resource is already open it shows up in the top of my search highlighted to separate them from other hits. The reference that will be linked to is clearly shown. (something like "author: short title: reference. in This case: "Oswalt: NICOT Is 40–66; Is 57:16") I press enter and exit hyperlink mode. The text NICOT is now hyperlinked with the linkt to the entry for Is 57:15.
However I also have open the NICOT commentary on Psalms so this may show up earlier in my search. It should then be enough to use the arrows keys to highligh the right resource or use the number keys, since NICOT Is 40-66 i shown as number two I press two
.
It should also be possible to actively click the search bar (so that I write only there and not in the not after I typed NICOT. Since the search field has been autopopulated with NICOT I ad " Is" so that it reads "NICOT Is" and the Isaiah 50-66 NICOT commentary by Oswalt shows up as the top hit since it is open. I could also use the search field to change the reference if I say want to refer to the entry for 57:16
It's very hard to write out clearly what I mean, but I imagine this to work as simple as typing Chinese Characters, only with two fields to add input in. One for what will be written in the note file and one for searching. The first autopopulates the other but not the other way around. See for example this video from 1:20

It would also be somewhat similar to how this works in OneNote, only with autopopulation of the search field.

The next picture show how it would work if you want to inseart a link where some more searching is needed. (Please don't get too hung up in my paint skills. The crossed out sections would also apply to the picture above.)

What do you guys think?
