I'm So Sorry...Pagination Question AGAIN!

So last time I asked for pagination help, I received the added bonus of fixing my citations.  However, I still have pagination issues.

Right now I'm in the Lexham Bible Dictionary and I copied a section on the Son of Man into my paper.  My citation came over fine, with no page number.  I went back to the resource and there's no page numbers.  I went to turn on the pagination and there's no button for it.  Does this just mean that this resource does not have page numbers?

I'm sorry to ask this again but this is really frustrating.  I just don't think that writing papers using Logos shouldn't be so difficult to find and use resource information for citation.  I can't be the only one with this issue.

That's right, there are no page numbers in the LBD, but that's okay, you have the article title in your citation, so it can be easily found. You can, if you want (or if your professor wants) add "n.p." where you would have had a page number.

That particular resource is designed to be digital. Thus, it can be easily and frequently updated. If page numbers were added they would frequently become incorrect.

But couldn't that be true of any resource?

    Thank you Levi.

I'm wondering...couldn't there be a way (other than not having the pagination tick) for Logos to indicate the resource is without pagination?  I guess I'm just looking for something more in my face so that I'm not coming on here asking for pagination when there isn't any or even worse, assuming there's no pagination when there is?

Not quite. Take the Catholic Bible Dictionary, for example. It's an actual physical book that Faithlife sells a Logos edition of. The page numbers in this aren't changing, unless someone publishes a second edition, which would end up being sold by Faithlife as a different resource.

I just checked the product page, expecting to see something explicit along those lines, and did not find it.

With things like dictionaries/encyclopaedias, if you were citing an article on Tacitus, you could normally put "s.v. Tacitus" - s.v. stands for "sub verbum". Depending on the style book you're using, of course. From memory this is what Turabian/Chicago specifies for dictionaries/encyclopaedias. The only things you should need page numbers for really are monographs and commentaries. If there's no page number option in the Visual filters menu at the top of the pane, it's not paginated.  The other way is just to click on the info button at the top right of the Resource pane, and scroll down to "Indexes". If it doesn't say "Page", you won't find page numbers (see example below)

Greg, this is very helpful.  Thank you.  I am using Turabian/Chicago.
