Books for class.

Before I considered buying elsewhere for my required textbooks for this upcoming semester, I felt it would be worthwhile to check out Logos and Vyrso. Vyrso had two of them (which is great) but I was slightly disappointed to find there was no page numbers. I do hope this can be something resolved for all titles, as this is where the print editions beat out electronic. It is hard to follow assigned readings when there is no page number and you have to search online for a table of context with page numbers. 😐

I think it's relatively safe to say that vyrso will NEVER have pagination added. I say added because there may be a time when there is a paginated resource that has numeration included in the text separated by line spacing (I've seen this before). But not the type of pagination that a Logos resource has (milestones). Vyrso books are (mostly if not always) taken directly from electronic additions supplied by the publishers so there is almost no editing done to them other than minimal automated Scripture referrence linking.

James, thanks for your reply. This may be the deciding factor from here on to see if I will buy in Logos/Vyrso for academic resources.

My only suggestion in being definitive is that you don't lump the 2 into 1. Logos resources are far more likely to meet academic needs with pagination, Vyrso, not so much. Faithlife wants the academic market, so they seem to be interested in making their resources appeal to that crowd, and they listen to feed back and appreciate. Many of their thousands of resources already have pagination, and likely many will be updated to include it that don't, and likely most of what is made in the future will include it too. So I'd recommend you hang in there, though I know it can be frustrating to not have what you need in one place.

Well, I haven't encountered any ones that I have in Logos without page numbers. Though, I have seen that a few have encountered this issue in some of their resources. I'm grateful for Logos without a doubt and Vyrso as well. I just think without page numbers for Vyrso and possibly some Logos resources I may pass for those titles for academic use.

I understand, but before you buy in print, you can always ask here from any who have those titles whether they are paginated or not. ;-)
