Suggestion: Preference toggle to go or not go to the Clippings document after clipping something

When I'm working my way through a reference document (commentary, dictionary, etc.) and clip some text, it's annoying that Logos immediately takes me to the Clippings document. I have to click back to my reference document and go through the process again. Not sure why this was made the default behavior. Either change the default behavior, or give us a Preference toggle to switch the behavior (probably best - maybe I'm missing something as to why the default behavior is a good thing).

Not sure what you are describing.

I have the resource open in one panel and the Clippings Document open in another. Clipping the resource does show the clipping in the Clippings Document but it doesn't affect where I am in the resource.

    What am I missing?

And what platform are you using?

Hi, Graham. Guess I should have been more clear. The "focus" moves from the document I'm clipping from to the Clipping document itself. Which means I have to click back in to the reference document to continue reading and clip something else.

Aaaahhh, but re-reading your post, I think I understand the situation better now. My mistake was having both the reference document tab and the Clippings document tab in the same window (or window pane, not sure of the terminology), so when the focus moved to the Clippings document, I couldn't see my reference document anymore. Simply having them in different windows fixes that problem.

Thanks for helping me see that!
