Full feature set or Logos Now?
Is it wiser to purchase Logos Now instead of the Logos 7 "full feature set"? If I get Logos Now, don't I get all features of Logos 7?
I understand I'd only have those features for a year and then have to resubscribe to Logos Now, but by then Logos 8 features will be in the works, right?

Yes, then you would resubscribe. "Logos 8 features" AKA "Logo Now only features" will be available to Logos Now subscribers sooner than that.

The way that I view this is, if funding is an issue, Logos Now is a lot easier to obtain than the Full Feature Set, and it also includes items that an outright purchase of FFS doesn't include. One strategy is to initially subscribe to LN, then work on purchasing a FFS (formally Crossgrade) throughout the 1st year. During the second year, reexamine the need/want of Logos Now.

I forgot about the credit card issues. My view was considering a payment in full and just using a debit/credit card for the transaction, not for the credit. [:)]
Interest charges are treacherous. They are designed to keep one in debt if one NEED the credit.Although there is an inclination to blame the devil, the devil can't be blamed for everything. (smile)
Considering the interest charges, is a good point that you made. Often overlooked
Some of the Logos packages can be quite expensive. The Faithlife payment plan is also an option for such packages. Although there is a $5 per payment fee attached, it is nothing compared to the 21+% interest charge of a credit card.

I'm currently a Logos 6 owner. I can become a Logos 7 owner (with features) for approx $120. When Logos 8 comes out it will likely be another $120 to upgrade from 7 to 8...right?So if I get Logos Now for 1-2 years (instead of getting full feature set of 7), when Logos 8 arrives, will I have to pay approx $240 because I would be going from Logos 6 to Logos 8?0 -

There's a lot of guesswork in your question, and no-one really knows what will happen in two years time. However, if you want to make an outright purchase of the Logos 8 Feature Set (assuming there is such a thing), it's likely to cost you more than the Logos 7 Feature Set does at the moment.
However, if you're still a Logos Now subscriber, then you shouldn't need to buy the Logos 8 Feature Set, because it will be included in your Now membership.

If Logos continues its feature set inflation rate (L5, L6, L7), then you're looking at about 15-17% tack-on at L8.
However, each major release places the Feature Set progressively out of range of people that don't want to play in the Logos big leagues (the Now'ers and Packagers form the present league).
The betting (private) is that Logos will have to introduce levels of features sets to allow affordability ... the price approaching the older precious metal packages, but not so precious names ... tin, iron, nickel, and so on.

Didn't L7 make it easier for more people to get the feature set? You can get it in an L7 Bronze package (compared to L6 Gold), and I think L7 FFS was even offered for a bit less than what FL had previously charged for the L6 Feature Crossgrade.
