The screen shot below is an ESV interlinear. You can see I have the LN highlighted on the context menu. I should be allowed to do "Search this resource", but it's not an option.
Double curious.
If I right click on the English word Father I get a much more extensive right click menu including the Search this Resource you are missing. The results are identical in the Beta and non-beta versions.
Less curious, perhaps, if you double check what is highlighted.
if you double check what is highlighted
Maybe you can help, as I only see the word 'Father' highlighted. What am I missing?
When I highlight the word Father I get the same blue highlighting in my interlinear I see in Mark's clip. I also saw the word Father highlighted in Mark's clip. Ergo the uncertainty.
Anyway I assume you and Mark mean he right clicked on the LN number in the interlinear. If so, it is no bug and it isn't limited to the beta. I get the same display he got no matter what interlinear I use and what word I right click on in the beta and in the regular version. Unless you or Mark or someone else is getting something different in some other place, I think this isn't a bug but a feature. Perhaps we can assume that in the interlinear display the right click on the LN number is bringing up a menu for the LN lexicon not for the Bible version above. So searching the LN lexicon for the LN number displayed is basically purposeless so it isn't an option.
Logos seems to be designed to let us search for all occurrences of a LN domain within a Bible only by right clicking in the Bible.
I get the same results as Mark Barnes when I right-click on the LN number in the interlinear grid. I get the same results as Mark Smith when I right-click on the word "Father" in the Bible text. Explains the different results, but it does seem the pop-up menu for right-click on the grid needs to be expanded.
yes, you understand it as I do ...Mark(B) shows the selection as LN and has built the popup accordingly ... you, Mark(S) shows the selection as Father and have built the popup accordingly. But look what I get from the MSS line of LN:
Looks like Right-click on all layers of the grid are the same as on the word in the Bible text except for the Strong's and LN numbers. They both have few options. Not sure off hand what all I would want there, but it seems a few more selections could be helpful, even if some of them are also inherited from the Bible text options.
Are you wanting to search for the LN number or the word 'Father'? It appears that you right-clicked on LN 12.12, rather than on the English or Greek word in the interlinear pane.
I want to search for the LN number, and I right-clicking on the LN number in the interlinear. If you try it out, you'll see that when I click on the English word and the choose Louw-Nida on the right click menu I do have the option for search this resource. But when I click on the LN number in the interlinear and choose Louw-Nida on the right click menu, I don't have the option for search this resource. That inconsistent behaviour is presumably a bug.
Thanks. I'll report it.
