This work should be tagged as Jewish, but right now it isn't.

    Hi SineNomine,

I've read this commentary and actually it could receive either a Christian or a Jewish tag. The reason for this is that it is not simply a translation of Kimchi's commentary, it is in fact a translation with significant editorial comments by a Christian translator - Alexander McCaul. McCaul is seeking to show that the Jewish interpretation of certain prophecies, represented by Kimchi's work, is incorrect.

However, this commentary has value both to Jews and Christians. For example, it was used extensively by John Calvin in preparation for his lectures on Zechariah and, more generally, Calvin considered Kimchi to be the most worthy of the rabbinic interpreters.

I am amused though at the anachronistic shortening of Alexander McCaul's name to Alex! Kimchi should probably be listed as author since McCaul is a translator and editor.

That should be, but is not, reflected on the product page.

I agree. Product pages are not an area in which Logos always excels, I find....

The nice thing is that they do read forum threads about them, and are generally fairly quick about fixing them. [:)]

When I notice a problem with a product page, I usually post about it (although not necessarily right away), and it generally gets fixed within a week or two, sometimes within 24 hours. Seeing as many of the problems I've reported have existed for years, that response time is not so bad. I would definitely recommend that anyone reading this post about product page errors that they find (in new threads).
