Is there a text box fill option?

I'm new to Proclaim and am utilizing my 30 day free trial to experiment with it. As many of you know, many times text looks better on certain backgrounds with a fill behind it. It gives it some extra contrast for readability. I could not find a way to do this in Proclaim. Is it possible? I want to fill the text box with a color and then lower the opacity of that color to "see through it" to the background. I have attached an example of what I'm trying to describe. This slide has a white fill behind the text and the opacity is lowered to roughly half to let it have a "see through" effect.

Hello Issac,
Thank you for your question. This link should be able to answer your question: http://support.proclaimonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/211472263-Text-Editing-Tips-and-Tools

Thanks for the reply! I apologize if I missed it, but that article didn't address the exact issue I was inquiring about. It had a lot of great text tips but none of them addressed the ability to fill an entire text box with a color and an adjustable opacity. It's a basic feature on PowerPoint and other presentation software so I thought for sure it has to be in there somewhere.

hi Isaac, currently we don't have box fill options but it is definitely on our radar. A current work around you could try is use a foreground image that is a png. You could make it with the transparency you want and add it to your slide and then layer the text over it.

Thank you for that suggestion! I will do that until a native feature becomes available. Thanks again.

This still isn't possible? I must say that the slide edition abilities of Proclaim are vastly inferior to your competitors. We're on the fence right now about what software to use and this doesn't help.

Still on the radar but not yet. And what about the edit experience feels subpar? We recently have had reports from some users about slow render times and we have been making improvements on our end With seemingly good results from the effected users.
We also recently added smart guides which makes lining up slide elements a lot easier.
Id love to hear where you think we are lacking (in addition to Box fill) as we are always looking to improve.

With the recent adjustments and necessity to add in video live streams to our recording options, is this something still in the works? Has it been added yet? We are using OBS with Proclaim and the only option that has worked is editing each service item individually with a separate image in the foreground. Unfortunately, I seem to be missing something with saving this template and spend a lot of time editing each item (which also leaves more room for my error or inconsistency).

Yes, you can do so by clicking on the textbox, and going to the Effects > Background Shape. There is a regular box shape you can select and then you can mess with the settings to get it to appear how you want.

Great job with the recent addition of Alt Content [Y] Is there a possibility of having the box shape in the foreground rather than the default background? It would be convenient to allow Alt Content to only send the foreground lyrics but with the additional text box (different backgrounds would be utilized from Alt Content to Slides, restricting us from using the background shape and simply selecting the duplicate layer).
