Rights Restricted Resources - Thank you for listening...
I have raised concerns in the past with Vyrso poor handling of rights restricted resources. In the past when a customer tried to purchase a rights restricted resource that was not available for sale in their country they had not idea it was rights restricted and were left with the below cryptice message that left the customer thinking there was a problem with Faithlife's checkout system that a techie was in the back room busily trying to sort out:
You could be left there for a whole weekend thinking the system was down because your purchase wouldn't process until someone from Vyro answered on the forums their checkout system was fine, the problem lay with the resource being rights restricted.
So thank you to the person(s) who did finally take not of my concern as an international customer seriously and acknowledge the customer experience was poor. I am know seeing more an more indications of product pages where a resource is rights restricted and so know immediately I can't purchase that product so that is no point putting it in the shopping cart.
The following search is highlights how on this particular issue Vyrso is now communicating more open, upfront and direct with its customers rather the leaving them confused as to why their shopping cart won't process.
If you do miss this message on a product page, you still get the cryptic error message - I respect this is most likely due to the limitations of the current shopping cart - but at least now you can go back to the product pages of the items in your shopping cart and see there was rights restriction message you must have missed, removed the item from your shopping cart and finalise the purchase of the other resources you were trying to buy. It's a win for the customer and a win for Faithlife.
