4.0b RC-1 crash while "re-arranging/ordering" Favorites

Again, it will not let me access the crash log -- all is too frozen.
Are the "after the reboot" crash logs of any use?
I've already deleted all of my old workspace layouts after 4.0b RC-1 crashes..
Should I just go ahead and throw out/delete all the Favorites also?
FINALLY, I think I have a "fresh" one
I believer that this "crashing/freezing" is NEW to me. In earlier betas I have re-arranged these favorites with no consequences (or at the very least without the "constant" repeatable consequences tha tare taking place this afternoon).
Thanks
ps. My M$ error reports (if I even let them finish) are taking much more time than the 7 minutes they took in the earlier September betas?
Regards, SteveF

This is the same error as the layouts crash. The bug that is causing the problem will be fixed in 4.0c Beta 1 4.0b RC2.

Melissa, since this won't be fixed for a while is there any advice for both layouts and Favorites what not to do in the interim? What causes the crashes?
Thanks!

That was a mistype on my part. It will actually be 4.0b RC2.

The crash is actually in Explorer (which is doing some work in the background). From what we can tell, it is a rare timing issue related to the precise order in which work is created and canceled; if you're not experiencing it, it's not worth worrying about. (We can understand why it happens, but we can't make it happen.)

I think I just made it happen in RC2 by pressing CTRL-ALT-W. Logos is still running, but appears to have frozen. In the normal Logos log, can get "MainWindow activated" by clicking on Logos. The logs also tell me it's syncing, but nothing else.
