Video plays, but sound does not

We have been continually having issues with video clips we upload to proclaim. The audio works in the edit mode, but when switching to the "Preview" or "On Air" mode they are silent. We have checked the "Volume slider" found in the Edit screen and also the background audio dropdown and they are fine.

Most times when the video begins there is a split-second of sound. Then it goes completely silent. The same clip plays fine outside of Proclaim. Help.

David, thanks for the report and sorry for the inconvenience. Could you please provide us with the video (or a link such as Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) which has the symptoms you describe?

Having looked in the Media Browser at your uploads I think I'm seeing the video (the most recently uploaded video). I hear sound in Proclaim. It's likely that this is a hardware issue if you've made sure that all the volume sliders are correctly adjusted. I'd recommend that you make sure your sound and video drivers are up-to-date and then see if it plays properly.

Hi David, make sure you are adding the video as a Video Item. If you add it as a background to an item such as an Announcement, a Content, or a Bible Passage it will be muted in preview since this is meant to be a motion background.

If you add it as a Video Item you will be able to hear the sound.

You can either add the Video Item first, and then choose the video, or find the video in the Media Browser and add it as a Video Item
