I have been using Proclaim now for more than a few months and love it. This last weekend, however, I ran into a problem that I feel needs addressed. I was running media (and sound) for a state-wide ladies retreat event.

I have asked in the past for this, but can't seem to find the thread, as it applies to LOGOS and now to Proclaim as well. My laptop is a tablet PC, with touch interface. I have a keyboard and touchpad/mouse available.

The problem though is (especially when going live), the scroll bars are so tiny, the they barely show on the screen, making touch-use, nearly impossible. using touch to select slides is great and on the main media PC at our local church, we got the techs a big touchscreen monitor to help make it easier.

will there be a touch interface option available. or at the least - a way to customize scroll bars and make them wider and more "touch-friendly". I am not talking about remote access from a phone or tablet device, but from the actual presentation computer itself. I feel the need to specify, as there is oftentimes confusion that a tablet PC is not the same as a tablet device.

Requesting Proclaim to have an option of touch-friendly - OR at least be able to configure scrollbars to make them more touch friendly. This is the 21st century, and believe it or not, I have been using tablet PC's for LOGOS, and now Proclaim, since last millennium - not having the option for more touch friendly/savvy interface is getting old. if I was a millennial, and not a baby boomer, I would say "I can't even."

We haven't done much investigating on tablet PC's. We're looking into testing on one of these devices to get a picture of how Proclaim operates.

Are you able to tap the scroll area then swipe to scroll?
If possible, I'd suggest using a mouse for the time being if that doesn't work.

I can't commit to any timeframe as to when we'll support this. I'd highly recommend you start a thread on our uservoice site. It's a good way for us to get a feel for how many users want a particular feature and be able to justify its cost of implementation. If there turns out to be a growing need amongst Proclaim users for added support for tablet PC's we'd be happy to consider it.

really? you can't hardly buy a laptop without going through touchscreen systems. I have the system I have, partially so that I don't have to carry a separate mouse. the (detachable) keyboard as a touchpad. but using a touchpad is not much more accurate than touchscreen, and only since it moves an actual mouse cursor. the tap/scroll doesn't work.

i have been amazed at how high-tech Logos/Faithlife claims (and not Proclaim), but whenever Tablet PC's and touch interface is brought up, it doesn't seem to go anywhere. I have used uservoice before, and used it again. thanks. I appreciate your update and feedback. it's good to know that we are at least being heard.

Technology evolves fast nowadays. We do our best to stay on top of surfacing trends, and on the whole I think we've provided some great high-tech tools to serve churches. We're always interested in investigating ways in which we can serve our customers, and your request for tablet PC support has been noted for investigation. If you know others with tablet PC's, we'd love to hear their feedback also. The more support an issue like this gets, the more it gets recognized as a high priority for us.
