Can the Home Page empty space be cleaned up?

It would be great if the blank space on Home Pages was not there, real estate space is precious for being able to look at a number of articles quickly (sometimes the gaps are BIG)...

I don't have any blank space. I wonder if the "space" is in fact a broken link.

    I'm seeing this as well.

There's more when I scroll down the Home page. Never seen that before.

    Hi Don

I think I remember [;)] that there was a change to the Home Page rendering method that allowed some of these white space to appear as a play-off against increasing the speed of rendering.

It seems that to get everything to fit in takes time - and there where/are a number of users who are so busy that they have 'no time to stop and stare' (or if they do have the time they don't want to spend it watching the home page rendering).

Thanks Mike for the reply!  But don't you think that's a little er, sloppy? I know it won't ever get fixed but you don't see that in other software - I use several news aggregators that do a beautiful job rendering in column/photo format that never go through this - look at the Apple News app, feedly, Newsify....on iOS, Windows, MacOS... I am sure there are others. I wish this would get fixed, part of the enjoyment of using software is that it's pleasing to look at. This is a constant reminder of a tradeoff.

No, no, no ... it's an invitation to think for yourself, to take a minute to be a bit self-reflective ... [:P]    [;)]

I see this happen a lot, here a few examples from my home page this morning...it is a bit sloppy in appearance I agree Don but I just scroll past it when I choose to look at the home page. If it is a trade off as Mike explained happy to live with that.

MJ, the thinking for myself produces this - the things that could make our experience better as users are frequently ignored.
