Ed Welch - Depression - glitchy formatting
Hi there,
Looking at Ed Welch's book Depression in my Logos desktop app (7):
- the table of contents is not hyperlinked
- the navigating side-bar does not take me to the correct place
- no headings are bolded or marked in any way
- text has glitchy intrusions - see below
Here is the sort of text found within the book:
If you don’t feel ready to answer it, please don’t.†Then he asked, “Who are you?â€
I panicked. “What do you mean?â€
“When you look inside, who do you see?â€

I am getting the same thing.

Running Scared and Shame Interrupted seem to be formatted correctly.

Vyrso ebooks are "bare bones" ebooks, created directly from the publisher ePub files by an automated system. This is in contrast to "logos edition" resources, which are "value added." The first three points may remain "as is," although some other resources recently were able to be reconverted adding some functionality. The last point sounds like a bad conversion, although there have been bad files from the publisher before.

Specifically a miscommunication on the type of quotes used ...
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Multiple lines of illegible gibberish within a resource is a clear defect. That's not "bare bone", but "value reduced".
Anyway, who am I talking to here... I don't think any FL employee still picks up Vyrso issues. We've had much worse ones recently without any outcome at all

I agree with you Jan Krohn 100 % !!!!!!
Sometimes I wonder what is the point of FAITHLIFE having VYRSO at all, if it is going to be like this.

It is plain to see that Vyrso is suffering from lack of attention from FL.
I don't understand why I see ebook titles that are available from Vyrso on publisher sale lists, but Vyrso is not listed as a vendor. 5 or 6 other ebook vendors will be listed.

I agree 100% with you Kenute !!!
This is not good enough! All we get is what almost feels like an automated response from an MVP who rolls out this 'bare bones' type of excuse everytime there is a problem with a Vyrso book. These sort of errors are not acceptable and it is disgusting that faihlife is completely ignoring customers whom they are happy to take money. All the pathetic excuses in the world from an MVP doesnt let Faithlife of the hook. They should be ashamed.

in my copy the table of contents is hyperlinked, and the text that the OP posted is showing correctly on my copy. I'm using Logos 7.3 Beta 2 on PC desktop.
When the doctor came to my room, he said, “I am going to ask you a question. If you don’t feel ready to answer it, please don’t.” Then he asked, “Who are you?”
I panicked. “What do you mean?”
“When you look inside, who do you see?”
It was horrible. When I looked inside I couldn’t see anyone. All I saw was a black hole.
“I am no one,” I said.LLS:9781938267444

And you are using a newer version of the resource that post-dates this thread:

Great service!
Have joy in the Lord!
