I would like to upgrade my laptop but am not sure if 4K will be easier to read and is it worth it? I am thinking about a 15 inch model maybe HP.

I don't know your age, or good your eyes are.
The MacBook Pro I have is a 2015 rMBP 15" with a 2880 x 1800 screen size at max res, but I have really never used Logos at that setting.
I have mine set to 1920 x 1200 or 2048 x 1280.
I can read the display with it set to 2880 x 1800.
But for me at 54 it kinda makes me sleepy..
For me to answer you question if you want to use Logos with a QHD screen at max res I would say get a 17" 4K laptop in stead of the 15".
The Lenovo Yoga 910 with the higher res display, higher ram and ssd is great with Logos.

I bought a Lenovo Ideapad Y700 last December. Really good at gaming. I bought it for gaming and Logos, and it games better. They have an option for 4k resolution, and a 17" screen too. It did have a black screen bug that affected me, and I just did some troubleshooting, upgrading the BIOS, and upgrading the video drivers. Because of the material used in it, the y700 is a bit on the heavy side IMO. But it's built a tad rugger. It also comes with a slightly bigger battery for using it as a laptop, so that is also why it weighs more. I can use it 2-3 hours (I think) on battery. A lot depends on your settings, etc for getting that much life. I'm sure if you tweaked it, you could get more out of it.
The con about my laptop is the SSD. It's the newer styled SSD, so it's faster, but more expensive if you want to upgrade. Plus it's only 128GB. So, I have Windows, a bunch of programs, a game or two, and Logos Base, plus some downloads. I have about 7-10GB free, depending on what I'm doing. I think I have Verbum installed as well, so I'm not sure if that's another 1-2GB being used. I tried running Verbum on my regular HDD, and it was painful at best. Opening Verbum took quite a while, so I don't recommend that unless you can get an SSHD with the 64GB cache. That might be faster, but I don't think so. Another note about the SSD is that I can still open chrome or firefox and google a bible verse faster than Logos can, but that's going through my library and not through one book.
My wife's MSI Apache Pro is a little different build. I went with an Nvidia 970 over the 960, but she is stuck at 1080p. So never mind on that option if you want 4k. I'm sure you can find one that is at 4k. They are a bit more expensive since you'll have to buy from a 2nd party, like Newegg or Ibuypower.com.
