How is it that December's new Resources are not coming down the tubes? The program settings are so they can come at any time of the day.
Mine didn't come right away but did after a while.
Have you tried "Update Now" in the command box?
around 48 Commentaries
Did the update thing several times. Being new to LN, where does one go to look for the new Resources.
I see 47 updates but I'm taking that just updates on the current things I own.
it looks like this in your Libary
and you can find it on the LN Member Page
https://www.logos.com/now-members
Here's what I see if I type in monograph
Here's what I see if I type in Logos now ... (which means I'm still buffaloed as to what is the December Resources) ... if it under monograph, then look at the size of the scroll button, meaning I'd have one barrel load of books downloaded for December. If it is correct what I see under LN, this would at present to make more sense by the size of the scroll bar. Please advise as to which one is correct if any.
Set the library to license and look at your temporary license.
Sascha John,
I see that you have a collection titled Logos Now Monthly. What criteria is used to set that collection up. It looks like a helpful collection to have.
John, I do not have any criteria. I just typed in Logos now in the Library.
Matt ... my question to you is ----- how do I set the Library to license? I've taken a shot at it and would this look right to you?
Note these steps work for most visible library attributes.
1. to add to the display click on an empty spot on the heading bar and select
2. to determine the possible values sort on the column by clicking on it
3. to select on the field the format is field name, colon, value with no spaces
Thanks MJ, I currently do not have a computer and cannot give screenshots.
Here's what I see if I type in Logos now
Typing "Logos Now" will bring back results for resources which have both "Logos" and "Now" ANYWHERE in the metadata (i.e. author, publisher, book description, etc.)... but certainly isn't doing what you think it is. The monthly LN resources likely WON'T have either term in the metadata.
The syntax you need is license:t (or license:temporary). This will filter your library for any and all "temporary" resources. You should then sort your library by "last updated" with those updated most recently at the top.
NOTE: If you own any of these resources, they won't be shown because 1) the license is permanent and 2) it would not have been re-downloaded.
Nowwwww, we're getting somewhere. MJ, I have to open the Library in a floating window in order to see License. There is no way I can see it otherwise, but your instructions work dead on.
Alabama, the License.t also works flawlessly, thus as you say, was and is the syntax I need(ed).
Thank you both for sliding in on this one. Your help is definitely appreciated.
I should have asked ... if one should want to buy one or more of the Temporary Resources, do we do that from the Logos website or is there a way to do that within Logos itself?
There is a store in the software but I never use it as I do all my shopping online so I don't know much about it. Your help file will explain it probably.
John I dit it last Month where we had just 7 Monthly Resources here is what I dit.
1. sort Libary by Licence
2. tag every Book with LogosNow exept the ones from the Month (in this Case all 44 Books)
3. Create a Collection with license:temp -mytag:LogosNow
So you will have a Collection with just the Books you get for this Month. AND the Books Logos Now give new (so you have to check and tag these with LogosNow.
Sascha
Bootjack you will recieve an Email to give you the Possibility to buy, Or you go to the Member Page.

Afraid that would violate copyright laws [:(]
You're often better off waiting until the end of the month or early next month: they tend to send out an email offering you a discount to purchase items that have been in the preview in the month.
You can also see what's in the preview here.
Thanks for the advice Greg.
Uh... no.
that's what I thought...
