Why does a note appear in "full" format but not "quotes"?
This behavior is by design. The Quotes view is not intended to display all notes attached to selections, but only those longer than a certain minimum length. This is intended to capture notes that are attached to a quotation by an author and skip words or short phrases that don't represent a quotation of the text.
Why doesn't the Journal Section of the Passage Guide provide results when a simple search does?
When you do this type of search you are searching for every mention of the reference as shown below

In the Passage Guide it is searching for all articles which are about that passage (tied to a label in the journal)

So the Passage Guide will return results in the Journals section but only if the article is about the referenced passage
If you wish you can add extra sections to the Passage Guide - click Add at the top right and select Collections (in this case) - allowing you to add in your journals collection into a separate section and you would then see the same results there as you get in search
How can I log out of Logos when leaving it for repair?
Just start Logos with the Ctrl key held down, and it will open you up to the login dialog box. Click "Work Offline".
How do I pull up an outline of a Biblical passage?
What sort of outline are you looking for?
The Outline section of the Passage Guide gives links to resources which have outlines of the whole book

The "Propositional Outline" gives an indication of what is happening and how the different parts of the narrative are linked

Different commentaries give different levels of outline - these are also accessible from the Passage Guide

Do any of these help at all or are you looking for something different?
There is also an interactive Biblical Outline Browser

The sources that I use that breaks the Bible down at the chapter level are:
1. Roy Gingrich's set
2. Wiersbe's Expository Outlines
3. The Outline Bible
4. The Thematic Bible: Passage Register
All of these have a nice outline of 1 Kings 18. Gingrich offers the most detail. There are others, I'm sure, but these are my go-to resources.
What is the format for a figurative language search?
The Glossary uses a {Label Figurative Language ...} search term. A search from the Context menu will give the required syntax, which is also {Label Figurative Language ...}.
{Label Figurative Language WHERE Category ~ <FigurativeLanguageCategory Metaphor, Ontological, Entity>} works and {Section <FigurativeLanguageCategory ~ Metaphor, Ontological, Entity>} gives the same results.
How do I use h: or g: in a morph search?
h: indicates Hebrew in transliteration
g: indicates Greek in transliteration
But I use these more frequently in a Bible search. What is an example search of what you wish to build?

...
You have to enter at least one letter of the transliterated Hebrew for the dropdown to populate.
...
if you are using the original language alphabet omit the g: or h: - just type in Hebrew script or Greek script.
Help has Untransliteration in Glossary:

How do I find a person's dates in the timeline?
Timeline is a great tool but if we don't know how to use it best, it can give us too much information. For instance, let's suppose that I am interested in knowing when Plutarch and Suetonius lived as well as a couple well-known Caesars (Julius and Augustus) so that I can place them in relation to the life of Jesus and the writing of the Gospels. If I type Plutarch, Suetonius, Julius, Augustus in the filter field, I get this:

A bit of a pain to locate lifetimes only. In order to see them only, I need to click on the Type heading (next to the filter field). This brings up a list and another blank field. Type "lifespan". Select it, unselect other categories, et voilà:

This of course works with other categories as well (try "reign" for instance) but I focused on lifespan because I use it all the time and I assume that many other people do as well.
How do I copy and paste a clipping?
Now you don't need to type it out.
If you hover your cursor over the bottom right of a clipping an arrow appears:

Clicking that takes you to the citation area which you can copy

In the example above this results in:
"Block, Daniel Isaac. Judges, Ruth. Vol. 6. The New American Commentary. Nashville: Broadman & Holman Publishers, 1999"
How can I archive my recorded sermons online?
We're working to turn SoundFaith.com into the best place to archive your sermons and share them with others.
I'm very excited about some of the tools we'll have here. Already, sermons shared at SoundFaith.com are made available through Logos Bible Software's Guides to others studying the same passage or topic.
To make it easier to load your existing archive of sermons, we've added support for batch uploading.
If you have MP3 audio files, or MP4 videos, you can drag them right into SoundFaith's browser window.
(Make sure you've logged in first -- you'll see your avatar in the upper right when you're logged in, which should happen automatically if you're logged in at Logos.com or Faithlife.com.)
After the upload, you can even drag in Word documents, PowerPoint files, etc. to the box labeled 'Drag and drop files here to add them to this sermon'. Each sermon supports audio, video, and file attachments, so you can share notes, handouts, bulletin inserts, slides, etc.
The more metadata you add to a sermon the easier it is for other people to discover. So don't forget to 'Edit' your sermons and add a description, Bible passages, topics, and tags.
SoundFaith is being actively developed. Your feedback will help share it -- let us know how we can make it better for you!
How can I copy and paste scripture verses?
A simple copy / paste (Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V on Windows - and I think Cmd-C etc on Mac) will do it.
To have more control over formatting you can use the Copy Bible Verses tool described at https://wiki.logos.com/Copy_Bible_Verses and in the Logos help file
How do I merge two library tags into one?
I've set up a tag called "test" and one called "testing" to replicate what you describe (I already have one for prayer
Now setting a library filter of "mytag:test" (you would use mytag:pray) finds the resources with either tag

If you select them both and open the details panel you see the tags that have been set

Hovering over an entry shows two options:

Selecting the "Apply to all" option for one tag and the delete option for the other should give you what you want.
