Logos 7 Verbum package vs Verbum 7 Feature Set?

I bought Logos Starter 6 last year.  Been using it off and on, not hugely in depth as time management sucks for me.

I'm wanting to either upgrade to 7, or start buying a set of commentaries.  My question is why is the V7 Feature Set cheaper than either of the Logos/Verbum Starter packages?  The Verbum feature set has dynamic pricing (55% off) available, but I don't want to throw money at Faithlife just to throw money away.  I could easily take that money and start purchasing a set of commentaries instead.

The Starter base package (books + features) also contains the Starter Feature Set, so the base package will always cost more than the feature set by itself.

If you don't need any of the new books or new features, you wouldn't have to use that money to upgrade the software at all.

However, you can get many commentary sets for much less, by purchasing them as part of a library. I'd recommend figuring out what books or sets you'd want to get, then check to see if they're included in any other libraries. You might find that it's more cost-effective to buy a particular library, rather then buying individual books or sets over the next year or so.

Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

I have found more and more this to be true: when we offer time or resource to the church or to the Lord, it doesn't come free. There is always something that it will cost you, whether it's time away from family, or money.
