Footnotes Visual Filter on Duplicate of a Particular Version

I would like to have open a version of the Bible to read with NO footnotes AND have a copy of the same version WITH FOOTNOTES synced with it. Is this possible? I have even tried to set up two separate layouts to accomplish this, but when footnotes is set as a visual filter, it crosses layouts. Any suggestions?

Currently there is no way to “save” two settings for the same resource. But you can have two copies open at the same time with two different settings.
1. Open the Bible you want.
2. Open a 2nd copy of the Bible.
3. In copy 2 turn the footnotes on and display columns (at least 2).
4. On both copies set the link set to the same one. You'll have to set this up each time, but if you save a layout you only need to turn the footnotes on in the second copy.
I hope this helps.

Thank you, Philana.
Actually, what I do is use very large fonts for the reading. When I use your method, there is little room for footnotes. I think it might work with much smaller-sized fonts.
What I wanted to do was have a copy of ESV or NET or HCSB or NASB without the distraction of the footnotes, but with the INFORMATION WINDOW open and have a duplicate copy of the versions linked together with footnote indicators. When I came across something interesting, I wanted to move to another copy of the version, click in the area, and read the footnotes in the INFORMATION WINDOW. I wanted the footnote indicators because there are so many footnotes in the Information Window that it would slow me down to figure out which verse and word is being discussed, without the footnote indicators.
I hope that is not too confusing. Looks like what I was wanting is not possible at present.

Additional Bibles in Multi-View inherit the visual filter setting for footnotes from the primary Bible so one Bible can be open twice with different footnote indicator settings:
Screen shot NET Bible without footnote indicators in Multi-View (inherited setting from LEB). The NET Bible is open in its own tab that has Chapter and Verse numbering plus footnote indicators with Columns set to One (1) so footnotes appear. Also have Information open.

Thanks! If it were possible to use the READ ALOUD function in the NET version, your layout would be just what I am looking for, but READ ALOUD is reading the LEB, not NET. I know this must seem pretty nit-picky, but that's what I'd like to be able to do.

Read Aloud can be used in left most tab, which has the NET Bible. Changed LEB to show footnote indicators so NET Bible in Multi-View inherits setting:
Information shows footnote(s) from one resource so can refresh by click or hover (your Information setting).
