Not sure if this is Resource or Feature as I see related issues in both camps. Anyway ...

Having  a working set of Prioritised resources (bottom) I thought to engage in a study of some words in the ESV, seeing how the Interlinear model interacts with my method. Interlinear panel is displayed.

Isaiah 44:3 "dry ground"

  • double-click "dry" or "ground" produces a result from the English index of Louw-Nida (dry 2.8; 79.80-83). Same result with the words in the Interlinear panel. I expected respectively an English resource eg. NAS Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible and a keylink to a prioritised Hebrew lexicon i.e.  DBL Hebrew.
  • right click "dry"

I expected to see TWOT and Enhanced Strong's Lexicon after BDB.

So I selected DBL Hebrew:

It has references for TWOT and Strong's!! If I hover over the Strong's reference the popup replicates the DBL entry above and a click goes nowhere. I get nothing from the TWOT ref which is correct for "dry land".  I get a popup for the LN ref and a click takes me to LN 1.60 dry land, which is more relevant than the one above (dry 2.8; 79.80-83).

If I hover over H3004 in the Interlinear panel it also shows the DBL entry above. Now this will perplex newcomers who like their Strong's and put it in the Prioritize list. You and I understand that both DBL Hebrew and TWOT have an index for Strong's numbers and that DBL is preferred to both TWOT and Strong's Lexicon! But how is a newcomer expected to work this out when I initially had this difficulty? The Help does not say anything about the context menu to Set Prioritization Limits but it would be natural to go only to Enhanced Strong's Lexicon, set it for Hebrew Strong's Number and wonder why that didn't fix things [and wonder how to fix it for Greek Strong's Numbers!].

  • right click "ground"

There's a lot missing from this menu - whatever happened to all the Hebrew stuff Smile

More importantly (to me), why are three foreign-language dictionaries listed for an English word?

That's enough, but imagine what a newcomer's questions might be if the Interlinear panel is not displayed at the start.

I still think nthe above issues need some attention or explanation.

In Beta 5 the only improvement is keylinking with the English words.
