What are the rules or guidelines for "Undo"?

Every time I've had a need for "Undo" it has either not been available, didn't do anything noticeable (which worries me too), or had unexpected results. For example, I opened an existing presentation, changed the background on a slide but didn't like it, so I immediately did a ctrl-z. Nothing happened. I did a right click on the item in the service area, but Undo was not available. I have other instances where I have totally bollixed something up, but ctrl-z would not bail me out. When does it work and when does it not? Also what is the relationship of that little looping arrow in the upper right corner? That also has taken me down paths from which there is no return.

This should clarify:

• When focused on the text editor (left pane in Edit view), Undo will retract any text customizations including color, size, what you typed, etc.
• When focused on the Order of Service, Undo will retract any service item deletions or additions you've made.
• Ctrl + Z doesn't undo changing the background (I'll look into seeing if we can get Undo hooked up to background changes).

It's the Reset Customizations button, and it's very useful if you're using Pro Media. If you've made any changes to a slide (moved text fields, changed text styling, added text fields) this button will reset all of them to the slide's default.

Why would you want that? When you change the background on a Pro Media slide we respect any customizations you've made and won't dynamically change the text styling to match the background. If, however, you reset the customizations, then change the slide background, we'll update the text styling to match the background. (We'll never delete any of the text you've entered, just the style of it).
