Upgrade path for feature sets and datasets in the future.

When we buy resources, we get hose licensed for life. We only have to keep paying for future upgrades to the base code. (Note that I do not work for Faithlife and may be all messed up on my terms).

If I buy the new Extended feature set so I can own the Bible Browser Tool (for example) what will happen with version 8. Logos Now users will always get the upgraded versions of these; assuming they get upgraded. Will I have to pay again for the upgraded features along with the base code? If I bought it will I have to pay a reduced upgrade prices? Will this be like resources that are free for life? Or some other way that I have not dreamed up yet?

Please provide a link to web site info on this if you know one.

You have me lost, but I'll do my best to explain.

First, the software engine is always free, although there is usually a waiting period of several months so that FL can capitalize on the new engine via sales of new libraries / feature sets. The L7 engine will be free sometime in February.

Second, many of the new features of any engine will require datasets, which the user must pay for. This may be done via a rental/membership program (Logos Now) or through a purchase (feature set). If you purchase a feature, you will have access to it indefinitely. If you subscribe to Logos Now, you have access until you unsubscribe.

Third: Logos Now is a membership program with many benefits. ONE of those benefits is access to ALL features... including ones under development for the next major release (i.e. L8) as they are developed.

Nope you got it. "If you purchase a feature, you will have access to it indefinitely".

Sounds like you are saying when Logos 8 comes out (even if I wait for several months to get the free version) if they upgrade the feature I bought and they upgrade the dataset, I will see them get updated on my computer on day one without paying more $?

No. You get updates/fixes to what you own as soon as they are available. If it is upgraded (like Text Comparison v2 + Interlinear view), it may be restricted to Logos Now subscribers until Logos 8 comes out.
